The Ranch
Our Land. Our Herd.
640 acres of North Central Washington high country — where free-range bison have roamed for generations.
Where the Hunt Happens
American Bison Hunt operates on private ranch land in eastern Washington state — rugged, remote, and managed exclusively for ethical, free-range bison hunting. This is our Cabin Near beautiful Lake Chelan . These animals live wild on native grass, in terrain that demands real hunting skill.
Our family has stewarded this land for over two decades, maintaining the herd with conservation principles at the forefront. Every hunt is managed to protect the long-term health of the herd and the land.
What Makes This Land Different
Free-Range Bison
Our herd roams thousands of acres of native grassland. No fences, no feedlots — just wild animals in their natural habitat.
Private Land Access
All hunts take place on private, permitted ranch land. No public land competition, no crowded hunting grounds.
Eastern Washington Terrain
Rolling high desert, coulees, and open plains — classic Pacific Northwest hunting country with dramatic scenery.
Conservation-First Management
We manage harvest numbers carefully each season to ensure the herd thrives for generations of hunters to come.
Lodging & Base Camp
Hunters stay in comfortable cabin or hotel accommodations near the ranch. We handle all logistics — airport pickup, meals coordination, and daily transport to and from the hunting grounds.
Non-hunting guests are welcome and can enjoy nearby attractions including Leavenworth (Washington's Bavarian village), Lake Chelan, and local wineries while the hunt is underway.
